ROXANNE  FOSTER

Roxanne Foster is excited to be joining the faculty of the Asheville Waldorf School and is thrilled to be returning home to the mountains of North Carolina after many years away. She first encountered Rudolph Steiner’s teachings  as an undergraduate student at Appalachian State in Boone, NC. There she studied Steiner’s Agriculture Course and helped develop a biodynamic garden as part of their Earth Studies Program. She broadened her understanding of Steiner’s teachings when her children were young as she participated in the Charlottesville Waldorf School’s Parent and Child classes with her oldest child. By then she was totally hooked and jumped at the chance to participate in the development of Heart Pine Waldorf School in Gainesville, Fl. where she taught for eight years. Along the way she also earned her MA in Counseling at the University of Northern Colorado and has worked extensively with children and their families in hospices around the country providing counseling and support. Roxanne is very proud of her partner, Clay, and her two adult children, Lain and Bridget who love to spend time traveling and enjoying the outdoors together.
