Annual and Ongoing Support

ANNUAL CAMPAGIN

As Board members, we are dedicated to ensuring the financial well-being of our school into the future and understand that our success depends on the strength of the whole. In our service to the community, each of us has committed to contribute to this Annual Giving Campaign, and we humbly invite you to join us. We are so grateful to our faculty and staff, who have also committed to giving this year! Please show your support by giving to our Annual Campaign.

A few facts about AWS:

  • We serve 167 students from early childhood through 8th grade.
  • At AWS, there is an $800 per-student difference in actual cost vs. what tuition covers. Keeping tuition affordable and relying on fundraising to cover some of our operating costs allows our school to stay accessible and diverse.
  • 34% of our families receive tuition assistance through our tier-based financial aid system. 39% of our families receive outside funding support from the NC Opportunity Scholarship.

Annual campaign goal: $100,000

Your support will allow us to:

  • Provide a broad and deep Waldorf curriculum
  • Offer competitive salaries to retain our teachers and attract new well-trained teachers
  • Continue our progress in making Waldorf Education accessible to children of all socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Care for and maintain the school van for field trips and nature programs
  • Provide mentorship and continuing education for our teachers
  • Continue developing our Education Support program to serve students with academic and/or behavioral needs
  • Strengthen the development of our three core pillars:
    • Social Renewal
    • Earth Stewardship
    • Human Connection
